| Description: These special edition bunny slippers were said to be worn by the Greek Goddess Athena. Athena was the Goddess of wisdom, war, and crafts. She was rational, intelligent, a powerful defender in war but also a potent peacemaker. As time passed the slippers were given to a museum in Italy where they laid dormant for over nine hundred and eleven years. During the chaotic times of World War II the slippers were lost and stolen by looters. More than half a century later they resurfaced alongside a few other rare artifacts that were discovered by an American college professor. As required by law the professor submitted the artifacts to the SCA. Dr Trey, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), said he approved salvaging these artifacts and moved them to the restoration laboratories and the Roman amphitheatre to remove saline off them and copy the inscriptions for study purposes. The artifacts were then returned to their rightful owners. | |
